Jeffrey Bland, Ph.D., formerly of the Linus Pauling Institute,
studied orally consumed Aloe Vera juice on gastrointestinal function. The author concluded that Aloe promoted a more favorable balance of the
gastrointestinal bacteria and reduced the yeast population. All of the subjects who had indigestion, irritable bowl syndrome, colitis and
gastritis, reported symptomatic relief after a short seven day research study.
Cholesterol
Several studies of animals and humans have suggested that orally consumed Aloe Vera may be beneficial in lowering serum cholesterol, serum triglycerides and serum phospholipids.
